Waking Up to Your Dream

Many people go through out life asking or wondering when will my dreams come true. I once asked my grandmother  the exact same question, "When will my dreams come true?" She looked at me and said something that I will never forget. She said, "They will come true when you decide to wake up." At first I was shocked by her response but as I sat and thought, it all became very clear.   What she was saying to me was that my dreams would become real or true when I made up my mind to wake up and work to make them a reality. This was the best advice I could have ever received and this came from a woman that only had a second grade education. My Grandmother was a hard working woman who pushed herself to ensure that her family was taken care of and that her dreams became a reality. I often come across people that wonder why their dreams have not come true however when you sit back and assess the problem it's all because of their life choices. They have chosen to remain asleep instead of waking up and working their dream.  There is nothing wrong with dreaming, but I find it better to dream while I'm awake. We all have dreams or better yet potential inside and all we need to do is wake up and see it through until it becomes real through our hard work. You must remember that there is no one in this world that will put as much into your dreams as you will. If we are not willing to put work into our own purpose or dream then we have no right to expect others to. We must take on the mentality that we don't chase dreams we catch them through our hard work and dedication. We all have dreams but we have to make the stand and choice to wake up. Wake up and work for those dreams and make them a reality.  If you are reading this and asking yourself, "Is this possible can I really live out my dreams?"  there is only one answer, "Yes!" anything is possible if you just believe. Remember, you have to work your D.R.E.A.M because no one else will work it for you.
